UK Scally Lads’ New Affiliate Manager
As of Monday May 4th 2009, I will officially take on the position of Affiliate Manager at UK Scally Lads. This is my second time around at this most interesting of positions and I have to say I’m quite excited about it. Simon and his partners have done a very good job at running this excellent kinky site focusing on scally lads. For those who aren’t familiar with the term “scally lad”, here’s a short definition for you:
Scally or Scallie, is originally short for Scallywag, but is now most-often used in the context of fashion-conscious hooligans. It is a slang term for a social subculture youth, similar to “chav”, but with different origins. The term is used across the UK, predominantly in the north-west of England and particularly in Liverpool and Manchester to describe mostly young, working class people.
So there you have it. In North American terms the equivalent to a scally lad might be “trailer trash”. They are usually naughty blokes who love to drink, love soccer, or football if you rather, and certainly love to get kinky.
UK Scally Lads is said to have an average conversion rate of 1:100, which is rather impressive to say the least. While this is certainly an important factor in my decision to join the team, I must say I’m more interested in the learning experience it will provide, as well as the great people I will do business with along the way.
